Jimmy co-founded Heartcore Capital in 2007 to challenge the traditional venture landscape. His passion for technology investing and entrepreneurship started in asset management where he earned his investment merits at BankInvest. Before launching Heartcore, he kick-started his VC career with Vaekstfonden. Jimmy holds a MSc in Finance from CBS. At Heartcore, he focuses on consumer investments, including entertainment, finance, and climate-friendly energy. He also manages Heartcore’s LP relationships.
Christian co-founded Heartcore Capital in 2007 out of a desire to work with talented and courageous founders and help them fulfill their visions. He previously founded technology startups in both Europe and the US, and views Heartcore as his third entrepreneurial journey. Christian holds a BSc in electrical engineering from the Danish Engineering Academy and an MBA from Georgetown University. At Heartcore Christian focuses on consumer investments within digital health, productivity software and finance.
Levin joined Heartcore in 2019 from Global Founders Capital, the $BN VC arm of Rocket Internet, where he was responsible for investments in Canva, Heyjobs, Instarem, Anyfin and others. Levin started his career in Tech as one of the first employees at Danish unicorn Tradeshift. He holds an MSc in Finance and Entrepreneurship from WHU. At Heartcore, Levin focuses on investments in founding teams looking to build category-defining consumer companies. He’s particularly drawn to companies using deep-tech for consumer applications.
Max joined Heartcore Capital from Accel Partners in 2013. He was previously an entrepreneur and angel investor (Last.fm, Onefinestay). He learned the VC business at Atlas Venture (now Accomplice), working on companies such as Zoopla, Dailymotion, MOO, and others. Max holds a PhD in economics from WHU, Germany’s leading business school, and is a certified professional executive coach. At Heartcore, he focuses on consumer internet investments, including DTC brands, marketplaces, networks, and software.
Yacine joined Heartcore in 2013 from Goldman Sachs where he was investing in publicly listed companies on behalf of Goldman. He was also an angel investor in the Ethereum network. Yacine holds an MSc in Management from HEC Paris and an MSc in Finance from Bocconi University. At Heartcore, Yacine leads our activities in France and is in charge of our Marketing efforts. As an investor he's particularly drawn to "offline-to-online" plays in large consumer spent categories such as Food, Housing or Finance.
Signe joined Heartcore in February 2019 from French oil company Total, where she was deputy managing director and commercial lead in Kenya. Previously, she spent almost 6 years as legal counsel to Maersk Oilsupporting operations, international contracts and M&A. Prior to her operational roles, she worked as an M&A lawyer with Kromann Reumert, one of the leading Danish law-firms. At Heartcore, Signe focuses on legal and day-to-day operations. She supports the investment team in the execution of all transactions and drives most of our internal processes.
Yohan joined Heartcore Capital in January 2019. He holds an MSc from ESSEC Business School, and was previously working at London-based seed fund firstminute capital. At Heartcore, Yohan focuses on CSS (Consumer Subscription Software) & Marketplaces, with a specific focus on France.
Stella joined Heartcore Capital in 2019. She gathered her first experience in the VC world at btov Partners, where she gained deep insights across a number of companies within the digital and industrial space. During her internship in the E-Commerce & Innovation department of Douglas, Stella discovered her passion for consumer brands. She holds a BSc. in Economics and Finance from Bocconi University. At Heartcore, Stella is based in the Berlin office and is eager to connect with passionate entrepreneurs, building consumer-centric brands.
Björn joined Heartcore in the fall of 2020. He honed his experience in the early-stage startup world as one of Antler's first employees, the global startup generator, and early-stage VC. He was part of the small team launching Antler for the first time outside of Singapore, gaining valuable experience both as an operator and as an investor from the vast array of startups and founders he worked with over the years. He holds an MSc in Corporate Finance and a BSc in Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics. At Heartcore, Björn is focused on the Nordic market and is particularly drawn to founders obsessing over customer experience, passionately building with the end-user in mind.
Paulina joined the Heartcore Capital team in 2020. She previously worked in active portfolio management of public equities and later moved on to private equity, gaining relevant equity markets experience. She became a consumer space aficionado after developing the go-to-market strategy for an early-stage telehealth player. Paulina holds a BSc. in International Business Administration & Finance from WHU. At Heartcore, Paulina is based in Berlin and is looking for fast-growing and category-defining ventures.
Søren joined Heartcore Capital in 2008 and has since then built the back-end of Heartcore within Finance, Compliance and Administration. Prior to joining Heartcore, Søren spent just over 2 years at McDonald’s Denmark where he worked with internal performance data analysis on restaurants and franchisees, reporting and analysis to US corporation and Head of Accounting for 11 restaurants owned by McDonald’s Denmark. Søren spent 4 years at evening school and holds a graduate diploma (GDBA) in Management Accounting and Process Management from Copenhagen Business School (CBS).

Peter joined Heartcore Capital in 2015. Prior to this, Peter worked for 10 years as an assistant within the stamp business, valuating and processing stamp collections. He got his economic introduction by studying five years at Copenhagen Business School and from here he was boosted to start working within the financial world. At Heartcore Capital, Peter’s work consists of being a part of the finance department, ensuring invoices will be paid and getting the daily economy to run smoothly.
Kathrine joined Heartcore in November 2020 as a legal assistant from Danish law-firm Gorrissen Federspiel. She is a Law student at Copenhagen University and holds an LLB from University College London (UCL). Relying on her educational background in both English and Danish law, Kathrine advises Heartcore portfolio companies with their legal challenges across several jurisdictions. She supports Heartcore COO in all legal matters, focusing on transactional and regulatory matters.
